Sermons for Vineville's Fall Focus

This fall, we will collect our thoughts and our new programming under the theme of Empowering the ChurchCreating a Healthy Church. This emphasis will focus on qualities which are essential in order to have a healthy church which fulfills its mission. My sermons will follow this theme and three special studies will be part of this emphasis. We will be working on leadership development, studies in the Old Testament, and unveil a strategy for helping people find their place of ministry within Vineville. The later study involves finding your S.H.A.P.E. in order to find those places in Church life that you are best shaped to serve. "Shape" is an acronym for your Spiritual Gifts, your Heart, your Abilities, your Personality, and your Experiences.

Two million, sixty-seven thousand, six hundred sixty six dollars and 85 cents (
$2,067,666.85), that is the amount Vineville Baptist Church has spent on property needs at Vineville in the last five years. The costs were for: electrical work, plaster in the sanctuary, waterproofing buildings, reworking our stained glass windows, computers and projectors, upgrading rooms and offices, carpet, paint, organ repair, a new elevator, resurfacing the gym floor, new roofs, new windows, extensive costs connected with high volume air handing units for heat and air-conditioning and a host of other needs.
Our Endowment Committee is asking you to consider your legacy as a follower of Christ.
What are the things, experiences, ministries, and influenced lives which testify to you having lived as a Christian?
