Mission
The Vineville Baptist Church Student Ministry (VBCSM) exists to bring glory to God through the empowering of students for life's potential in Christ Jesus.
Vision
The VBCSM's purpose is to "proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ."

Goals
1. Help students (7th-12th) to identify, develop and use their spiritual gifts so they will be empowered to carry out their God-given ministry.
2. Help students to develop a deeper understanding of their faith by training and providing opportunities for growth in Christ.
3. Help students to develop a healthy emotional, social, mental, physical, and spiritual life.
Evangelism - This Summer we will be attending Student Life Camp. Student Life is a remarkable ministry dedicated to evangelizing and discipling our youth. Camp allows our students concentrated time spent with God away from the distractions of every day life.
Discipleship Retreats - We have three discipleship weekends each year. Two of the weekends are combined with a sporting event that helps to instill confidence and teach lessons in setting goals, endurance, and team work. Our first retreat weekend this year is our Ski weekend - Avalanche of Grace. We will be teaching about grace and how that changes our lives as Christians. Our second discipleship weekend is held in March where we will attend the Student Life Conference in Atlanta. The course of study for this retreat is faith and how it intersects daily with life choices. The third retreat weekend is our Basic Training weekend which is also a welcome weekend for our new youth. During this weekend we go white water rafting, horseback riding, and learn group building skills as well as participate in a high ropes course. This weekend is a challenging weekend designed to give an overview of the past year's ministry emphasis as well as cast a vision for the upcoming year. This retreat is held in August of each year.
Missions - Every other year our youth participate in Mission Fuge. This is an incredible camp that teaches the basics of missions as well as provides an array of mission opportunities for youth. The year that we do not attend Mission Fuge, we concentrate on local mission opportunities. This year our youth will be working with Power House, local children's homes and other community outreach organizations to show the love of Christ.
Basic Ministry - Each month there are planned activities that are "just for fun". We believe in building healthy relationships with our students. It is our desire to create a Church Home that they will always remember as they mature and enter college. Fellowships are planned to promote unity and provide the opportunity to build family. There are fellowships at folks' homes or local restaurants and activities like basketball, football, softball, and hockey. We have an incredible youth room that has game boards, a pool table and comfortable couches to just sit and talk. We also have a clown ministry and a praise team that is very active. There is so much going on that you will simply have to join us to experience it all!
