Missions

Missions has always been a very important part of the ministry of Vineville Baptist Church. An awareness of missions and needs of people in our community, state, nation and world is developed through the following organizations.

Children's Missions

Mission Friends is for boys and girls who are three through five years of age. This group meets during the months of September through May on the second floor of the Sammons Building on Wednesday evenings during the midweek service.

Children in Action is a missions education program for boys and girls, grades 1-6. They are currently meeting on Wednesday nights in the Lower Auditorium from 6:45 - 7:30 p.m.

Missions For Women

The Baptist Women Day Group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:45 AM in room 1104 in the Moore Building

Meetings for the Baptist Women Night Group are held in homes. The meetings are on the second Thursday of each month at 7:30 PM. Meeting locations are announced in The Vineville Vision.

Meetings for the Baptist Young Women Night Group are held in homes on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. Meeting locations are announced in The Vineville Vision.


Missions For Senior Adults

The Xtra Years of Zest (XYZ) group meets monthly on the third Thursday for lunch and a program in our Activities Building. Also, ten interesting trips and excursions are planned throughout the year.

The Homebound Ministry/Ministry to Very Important People (VIP) is the church's response team to minister to our shut ins. In addition to visits, members of this ministry keep our shut ins in touch with the life of the church by distributing audio tapes of Vineville's worship services and other materials.

The Grief Ministry is the church's response team to members suffering loss through death. These volunteers strive to touch and maintain contact with survivors long after the initial influx of friends and neighbors have left.
